This training equips you with the skills needed for trauma-sensitive practices. You’ll gain practical tools, learn from experienced professionals, and develop strategies to handle challenging situations with confidence and care. The training offers a supportive online environment, ensuring you’re prepared to manage stress in 1:1 settings.

Skills Practice Schedule: 4.5-Hours

1: Welcome and Introductions
A short introduction to the day’s structure and goals.

2: What is Supervision and Why Does it Matter?
An overview of the role of supervision and its importance for skills practice and peer support.

3: Skill 1: Contracting Consent and Interrupting
Hands-on practice in interrupting when someone begins discussing trauma.

4: Understanding Nervous System Regulation
A brief introduction to the types of nervous system regulations and how to work with them.

5: Skill 2: Regulating
Practice basic strategies to help someone regulate if they become overwhelmed.

6: Conclusion and Reflections
Wrap up the training with shared reflections and discussion of next steps.
