Advanced Practitioner Modules: 4.5-Hours Per Module
A practical six-month programme for organisational settings where trauma may be encountered, whether in line management, service delivery, or qualitative research. Each module blends experiential learning, practical exercises, and triads to build confidence and awareness.
1: Beginnings: Difference, Power, and Perspective
Learn how your own background, experiences, and assumptions shape the way you engage with people. Explore power dynamics in decision-making, service design, and organisational interactions.
2: Recognising and Responding to Trauma Responses
Identify fight, flight, freeze, and fawn reactions in others—and in yourself. Develop practical ways to reduce harm and support regulation without overstepping boundaries.
3: Building Safety and Trust in Organisational Settings
Learn what makes people feel psychologically safe in meetings, services, interviews, and workplaces. Create structures that encourage trust and engagement.
4: Working with Difficult Narratives and Emotional Content
Stay present in challenging conversations without shutting down or taking on too much. Learn to support people while maintaining professional and ethical distance.
5: Trauma-Sensitive Decision-Making and Interpretation
Recognise how bias, assumptions, and framing influence decisions and outcomes. Apply ethical approaches to policy, service design, and interventions.
6: Endings: Closure and Long-Term Impact
Consider what happens after an interaction or intervention is complete. Ensure trauma-sensitive practices leave a lasting, positive impact.
